Story I just read about, in which a mother's baby dies because she left it out in the car while she went to work- apparently she had no one to watch the child, and her boss gave her an ultimatum to either show up or be fired. What would you do? Especially when you know that your child could either die out in the heat, or be abducted by some freak walking by? What about food? What about cracking the windows? The mom had no parents? friends? distant relatives? nothing? I definately feel for her (and yeah- it does suck beyond words that a single mother obviously has no support system to help avoid this from happening), but she had to know that leaving her child in a car was dangerous- not just because of the heat. I dunno. Be fired, or your kid dies. Tough choice.
