Reason why you should buy an extra base for your carseat..

Our Saturn is currently being repaired for damages (thankfully the other driver's insurance company is paying for it!!).. well, when D dropped the car off, he didn't want to take out the base, because it took him at least a 1/2 hour securing it in our back seat. We *can* put the carseat in a (rental) car w/out a base, but as we've seen, it's just not secure. We've got that stupid belt clip on, yada yada yada.. the damn thing moves all over the place. And tonight we're supposed to drive (in the rain, no less) to my aunt's house for dinner. And tomorrow we're driving to some ranch to drop off our turtles. Our car won't be ready til Monday. Argh.
