I'm gonna try and work on a birth story today. I have a laptop upstairs with me in the bedroom, but I don't like to use it much. That and when I have time, I just feel like sleeping.. that, or I find myself anticipating someone waking up.

David's been more than helpful. He spends his days with Lauren down here, bringing her up now and then to say hello. Apparently she stops what she's doing long enough to say "Mom" and then look around.. poor kiddo. I do come down here now and then to say hello and read her a book. Last night I gave her a bath, too. She's very good with the baby, although I do need to explain more about how babies don't have teeth and that jabbing Matthew's head with a toothbrush probably isn't the best way to brush teeth in the future.

In case any of you were wondering about the name choice (not that you were), "Matthew" is one of the few boy's names David and I have ever been able to agree on. In fact, had Lauren ended up a boy, that might have been her name (although with a different middle name). "James" is the middle name, and after I heard about my dad's cancer.. well, I thought it might be nice for one of his grandsons to carry on a piece of his name (James is his middle name, too). It wasn't to make my dad happy or anything like that. It just felt like the right thing to do.

Um, not much else to add for now. I need some motrin.
