Ten years ago...
- I was 19, and living alone with my dad.
- I was depressed most of the time.
- I was working in a German deli.
- I ditched a lot of school (community college).

Seven years ago...
- I was 22, and finally starting to gain my independence.
- I started school at a university, where I got drunk for the first time, and where I ended up losing my virginity.
- I fell madly in love with the northern-most end of California.

Five years ago...
- I was 24, and got married.
- I went on a cruise to Ensenada, MX, and spent a week in Yosemite National Park.
- My grandfather (who lived with me) died. I believe I witnessed him take his last breath.
- My sister's son was born.

Three years ago...
- I was 26, and having a terrible year.
- My dad kicked David and I out of his house, and we were basically homeless for a month.
- I got a job as an apartment manager.
- It was the last full year I'd have with my cat Alfie before she died.
- It was the last time I saw my best friend in Colorado, when she came out to CA to visit.

Two years ago...
- I was 27, and still going through an emotional rollercoaster.
- My cat of nearly 18 years died.
- I got pregnant with my daughter.
- One of my favorite uncles died.
- I (along with the rest of the world) was in horror over the 9-11 tragedies.

One year ago...
- I took David to his first NHL game.
- I was 28, and experiencing motherhood for the first time.
- It was the first time I saw my dad since I left his house, and it was also the last time I saw him.
- At the end of the year, D and I went to a Def Leppard concert.

Today...
- I'm 29, and the SAHM mother of two small children.
- I bought make-up for the first time in years.
- I spent the longest day out of the house since the baby was born.
- I hope my friends are ok.. I have a lot of them in bad relationships, and I worry about them.

Tomorrow...
- I'll get up tired.
- I'll eat too much junk food.
- I'll spend entirely too much time checking e-mail.
