I can't believe how cold it's gotten here. Right now it's 36 degrees (at 8:30 am). It's hard to keep the kids warm at night (aside from leaving on the heater), since they refuse to keep covers on them. I don't think their footed pj's are all that warm. (Matthew's gone back to waking up several times a night, then getting up for good anywhere between 5 and 6. He's big into white noise, and I had to take the fan out for obvious reasons. David put a radio there in its place, but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick).
Everybody here's getting into the spirit of Halloween. Our place is (sparcely) decorated, but we've even got Lauren begging on a daily basis to watch ghoulish kid-flicks like The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and The Nightmare Before Christmas. I caught David on his laptop during the VP Debate last night, with Fright Night playing. (I love that movie).
Now if only Thanksgiving would get here!!! And I'm anxiously awaiting Christmas shopping. We were out at our favorite mall the other night, and it was chilly- quite nipply out, if you get my drift. I just pictured us all out looking for gifts, the kids all bundled in their strollers, and David and I sipping hot cocoa. Ahhh.. I'm already on the look-out for Christmas cards, and planning Christmas lists. (David's family does a gift exchange, and this year I have his twin's husband. He's a HUGE Detroit Redwings fan, which makes him easy (and yet hard!) to shop for. I'll have fun picking out a gift for him, though).
