SO.. the weather's just a tad bit on the crazy side. David got up for work as usual, sometime after 6 am. Within the half hour, he crawled back into bed, stating that until he could get in touch with someone at work, he wasn't going anywhere. Our county has been in a "level 2" alert, meaning that people shouldn't drive unless they have to. We have at least 6" of snow on the ground in our patio, at least a couple inches of which are ice. Our phone was down (meaning no internet, either) until 9 am or so, at about which point the cable went out- and is still down (thank God for video tapes!). David's work called about 9:30, asking him to come in if he could. He left at 10:30, and called me at 11 to say he'd just gotten out of the parking lot. LOL! There was an inch thick layer of ice on the car he had to chip his way through. Of course the roads are fairly awful as well. I've been "yelled" at by one of my SIL's, and had my FIL and another SIL write to ask if we have enough snow. LOL They think I'm the crazy chick from CA who had them all snowed out for Christmas. HAHAHA!
