Kids are finally getting better. Lauren's no longer throwing up, and Matthew's nose isn't quite so grody. And the kids are being more annoying than usual, so I guess that's a good sign they're recovering.

My sister has some big news, but she doesn't want to tell the family yet- mostly because there's a few pricks in the bunch who would no doubt congratulate her to her face, then talk trash about her behind her back. Gotta love family. NOT. It's nice to be away from that shit, let me tell you. Honestly, I can't even handle hearing about my own family anymore. That might sound harsh, but I'm much better off (emotionally speaking) if don't. Leave me to my own problems, thank you very much.

Groundhog Day- apparently we're getting another 6 weeks of winter? I don't mind the snow that much, or even the cold weather. But I would love to open the doors and windows and get some fresh air- while wearing shorts and a tank top, preferredly. Just the idea of dressing for warm weather sounds nice. That, and I'm in desperate need for some exercise. Can't wait to start going for walks again!

Anyone else listen to Bush's speech the other night? Good grief. His ideas for Social Security are insane, IMHO. I think it's a big mistake to get rid of it. I think people should have their own retirement savings- the more money you have when you retire, the better. But to get rid of SS altogether? Nah. I'm not for that at all. Why can't there be both? I can't wait til he's no longer in office.
