The first snow since well before Christmas, is what we awoke to this morning. It's still falling, but there's not much there.. still pretty. And I figure if it's going to be cold as hell outside, it should at least give me some snow to make it worth while.
So, Monday.. David was supposed to take the day off, but got called in around 10 am because of some server crash. He is finally getting a day off (today), which is nice. Breakfast served to me, for a change. LOL!
But anyway.. Monday I started realizing after a thread I read at my shopping board (a thread on high heating bills), that I had yet to receive a gas bill since moving into the house. I had one gas bill from the first apartment we lived in after moving to Ohio, and that was the closing bill. When I signed up for gas for the house, they let me have the old account number. Although the gas company was closed on Monday, I tried their automated system.. discovering that my current phone number is tied to that old apartment. And there was zero balance. I'm thinking Duh, that makes no fucking sense. So now I'm starting to panic. This means 2 months of no payment, and I sure hope they don't shut off the gas. That would not be good.
Tuesday morning I call first thing, and explain that I have yet to receive any bill, and that I think they might be going to an old address. Seems they were sending it to not the old apartment... not where we actually had an account with them.. but the place we were living in before we bought our house. As if that isn't odd enough, we weren't getting bills forwarded here, along with the rest of the mail. Hmmm. Anyway, he told me what the bill was for both November and December? $421!!! about $137 of that was just for November. Holy shit. LOL If I remember correctly, the first installment of payments (should we choose to make 3 payments on this) is due January 10th. Well, we will not have even the first installment of that til the 13th, so I hope we don't get penalized somehow. Sigh. As it is, the guy said he'd waive the deposit fee because it was a billing error. Jeez. How nice. LOL
