Christopher Reeve's Widow Dies at Age 44.

Wow. The last time I saw her on tv was several months back. She was at an awards show (the name of which escapes me). She had on a wig that a famous friend lent? to her for the occasion. She looked like a different person. I had wondered how she was...

The sad thing is that the best a person with lung cancer can hope for is about 5 years. I mean, 5 years is better than nothing, but it's also potentially 5 years of waiting to drop dead. I hate to put it that way, but it's true. Maybe I'm still bitter over my dad's death. He had his cancer for a couple of years before he knew about it.. probably well before he felt any symptoms. But went from diagnosis to his last breaths w/in a matter of months. (Part of me wonders if that wasn't a blessing in disguise?)

Hopefully her death was a peaceful one.
