So.. why the test for Lyme Disease? (Which I really am hoping to get?) Well, after posting my life story (or what seems like it) on two different health boards.. you know, hoping somebody knew what the hell was wrong with me.. (HAHA) I did have somebody ask if I'd been tested for it yet. I thought I had been, but in fact I haven't.

This *short* list of symptoms is from Humboldt County, which is just one of the counties in California known to be a hot spot for the little bastards which carry LD. (Here's a map of the others, if you're interested). When I first started noticing my arm pains, I was going to school there. I spent a lot of time wandering the Redwood forest. I don't recall finding any ticks on me, though. Then this morning, I was thinking back to the summer of 1986 (or was it '87?) when I visited York county, Pennsylvania, with a friend from school. Oh yes, my dears. Apparently another hot spot. A high risk zone, in fact. Lovely. Of course this could be the last thing I have, but I think it is worth testing for. Especially considering the symptoms really do match a lot of what I'm experiencing.
