I haven't talked much about my Lyme lately.. I am still seeing my Lyme doctor in Pennsylvania- I see him once a month.

I'm really not sure what to say about how my treatment is going. I was on 4,000mg/day of Amoxicillin, for two months. After the dr. felt it stopped working, he put me on 1,000mg of Biaxin XL per day. After two months of that, I'm now taking a combination of Biaxin (still 1,000mg/day) with Omnicef (600mg/day). I've been on that duo for just over a week now. It's funny.. when I went in to the pharmacy to get my prescriptions filled, the pharmacist was like "You know these are heavy duty antibiotics?" (Yes). "And you're supposed to take them both together?" (Yes). LOL I can only hope this combo works.. if not, it's either switch to some other antibiotic (like Doxycycline) with or w/out something else, or start IV treatment. I'm not really up for that, because I know Matthew- I have a feeling it would get ripped right out of my arm. The dr said he isn't thrilled about going that route himself, partly because of the insurance company, that will no doubt harass him for treating me in that way. However, it's not like I have a hell of a lot of options at this point. Argh.

Right now, my worst symptoms are migraines, dizziness/vertigo, eye pain, migrating bone/joint/muscle pain, GI issues... and some other things that may or may not be related to the medications themselves. Lots of fun!
