So.. Somebody's first Kindergarten costume party. Actually the whole school is having their "Fall Festival", and today is the day. They have to wear costumes to reflect the theme of the school: "Hero". I asked KG (Kiddo Girl. Did you get the memo?) what she wanted to be, and she said "Super Girl".

Well, I was not going to go out and buy a costume.. so I decided to check out pictures of Super Girl on the net, and see the basic pieces of her outfit. Then I went to the thrift store, in search of hopefully the same. I did actually find a Super Girl shirt- long-sleeved, thank goodness. I found some hot pink jogging pants, some matching water shoes (don't ask- they were 59 cents, and matched the pants), and then a pink baby blanket I hoped I could fashion into a cape. Later I found out she needed a mask.. so I went to Michaels and JoAnn's to see how they could help.

You can see her brother wanted in on the picture taking. LOL Anyway.. she ended up with some older sweat pants she had, and her white tennis shoes. I did make her a belt, though. She actually looks cute, and she's very happy with the outfit. What more can I ask for?
