Report: Researchers Clone Fluorescent Cats.

I love cats. I'm an animal person in general, but I most closely relate to/with cats. Maybe that is part of my problem with this. Were any cats hurt in the cloning and/or "florescing" process? Maybe not. Does this affect me in any way? No.. But what is the point of it? Cloning is becoming more and more common, and maybe scientists can justify cloning a cat for research purposes.. legitimate research, that is. But what kind of benefit is there to humans or animals alike, by cloning a florescent cat? Do we really need cats that glow? I guess reflective collars don't work anymore? It boggles the mind. I wonder if they got a grant for this?
