I think I mentioned a while ago.. just over a month ago?.. that a rock hit the windshield of the 1 yr old VUE, on our way home from my dr. visit last month. The crack started low, down the left side of the glass, then curved up and over to the right. It's just about to the center of the glass at this point, and though we have filed a claim with the insurance company, we have no money to fix it (yet). I hate that. It's annoying enough that it happened, but I guess when you get a car, you try like hell to keep it looking new. Our deductible is $500. Blargh! But I just called the Saturn dealership, and the company they use (which actually comes out to your house!) can replace the glass for about $230- tax, installation, etc. all included, as well as a lifetime warranty! I haven't called around anywhere else, but it's a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. Now we're thinking about canceling our claim. Our insurance for both cars is about $85/mo, and there's no need to give then a reason to raise it. (We also have to replace the right front tire, which I discovered was completely flat when I was on my way out the other day. Sigh..)
Tax refund or bust! :P
