So... in a matter of months, we will be addressing "the new guy" as President Obama.

America has spoken loud and clear- they want change. Change meaning whatever is a complete 180 degrees from what Bush gave us for the last 8 years. I completely get that- personally, I would have loved to see Bush out of office years ago! But it remains to be seen exactly what kind of change this new guy will put into play. We've heard the words, now we need to see the deeds.

Although Obama is technically half African-American, I do see how monumental this decision is. Never before has our country put anybody who wasn't "wonder bread", into office. This opens many doors for people of ALL races, who have their sights on the White House- and so I think it's great for that reason.

I really do hope - for you, for me, for our country - that this "change" IS what we need, what we hope it will be, what he promised it would be. I do have my doubts, but only time will tell.
