Friday Five
sylvie's answers..
1. What was/is your favorite subject in school? Why? I always loved English. I learned to read at an early age, and so I just devoured books. They were my greatest escape, when life got tough. I never liked writing term papers and things like that, but I had (have) a knack for writing, as well. Of course getting A's in English helped to make it one of my favorite subjects, too. ;)
2. Who was your favorite teacher? Why? I loved my 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Faulkner. She was just really nice. I loved my 4th grade teacher (Mr. Brothers), but mostly cuz he was hot and he did special things for me. I had a big crush on my 7th (thru 10th) grade Science teacher (Mr. Gjesvold), although I never did particularly well in his class. I loved my Spanish teacher in 11th-12th grade (Sr. Arredondo), because of the color of his skin, and because he said that I could speak Spanish with a great accent (and I aced every semester). I thought my 12th grade English teacher (Mrs. Rubenstein) kicked ass. She and I still exchange letters to this day. Sweet lady- her husband is a Rabbi. And then there's my college Geography professor (Mr. Blank)- well, he used to pronounce my name "Stefania", as it's said in Greek. He was just damn cool, and had a great smile. hee hee
3. What is your favorite memory of school? Oh, I have several.. most of them revolving around teachers I had crushes on. But there's the time in 6th grade when a group of friends and I had our own singing group- The Neons. We dressed in the Madonna 80's fashion of that day, and sang covers of her and Cyndi Lauper.
4. What was your favorite recess game? I really liked to play 2-Square & 4-Square. I thought Capture the Flag & Prisoner's Base were great games, too, but I couldn't run that fast, so I never really played all that well. Dodge ball was fun, except for the getting pummled in the ass (and head) part.
5. What did you hate most about school? Homework. Snotty bitches who get all the hot guys. Getting spanked. Tests!!!
