LOL, funny how what I'm gonna post will seem like night compared to Kit's day here.
My obsession right now (okay for a while now) has been getting inside computers and figuring out what makes them go. Right now I'm sitting at work reading a Python tutorial as an intro to programming (it was suggested as a good start) on my Win2k machine while installing FreeBSD on another box beside me.
BSD just finished installing and after rebooting up comes a command prompt. Haven't used one of those much since my DOS days in High School.
Hey, I just finished configuring a webserver at home to host my MadWorx domain. It's only one page right now and need much work before it'll be worth anything but the homepage is up. Eventually, once I get everything up and running right I'll have email service for it and possibly host Kit's site with email support. These boxes are just too much fun.
If you want an interesting glimpse into the hacker world check out Phrack Magazine. They've been around since the early 80's and give an idea of how all the "hacking" got started. In the early editions you can skip most of the articles (which are pretty much outdated anyway) and go straight to the Phrack World News section. It reads a lot like a blog.
