You know what's gross? When a tenant moves out after 7 years of smoking in their apartment.. and not one cubic inch of that apartment isn't layered with a thick coat of tar/nicotine/etc. It streaks down the windows. The blinds are permanently discolored. Every wall (including the ceilings) has to have 2 coats of primer before they can be repainted. And the owner actually thinks just shampooing the carpet will be good enough. Bleck! I wouldn't want my kids living there.. crawling around on that carpet. Even after having been cleaned.
