Well, yesterday I "intereviewed" the first set of applicants for the next manager. Nice couple, and we actually spoke for quite awhile. Seems they're managers in another building (they've been doing this for 10 years now), and are moving because the building is being sold and they don't want to stick around and find out their new owner sucks. (Boy, are they in for a surprise! LOL). I think my boss will appreciate the fact that these people do have experience, but I get the sense that they (especially the husband) are used to taking charge in their building- like being building nazis or something. The guy mentioned using his friendship with a cop to bully loud tenants, etc.. Also, he told me a story about asking his boss for money. Um, that wouldn't fly with this owner. LOL So I dunno. But I've got 2 other applicants coming over today, so we'll see what they're like.
