Yay!! David came home from work with almost all the stuff we had in our cart the other day! :) He didn't get my, um,"mommy care" items from after birth, but that's ok.. he figured I might want to pick that stuff out myself. LOL

I tell you.. it is SO wierd to see Lauren sitting in a big carseat/booster seat, and facing front. But I can tell she enjoys it and feels much more comfortable not having her legs squished in together like they were before. (And please.. no statistics on how safe it is to keep kids facing forward as long as possible. Not interested, but thanks).

Oh man.. went to the mall after David got off work. When we were leaving the house, there was thunder but it was still fairly sunny out. Got to the mall, and David got his hair cut. On our way out, it was POURING. I mean, it was really damn raining! The front doors at the main entrance were opening by themselves, the wind was howling, and I half expected to see Dorothy and Toto floating by in the air. Lauren and I waited just inside the inner and outer doors, for David to pull the car up. First he walked to the car to bring back the umbrella. HA! I didn't know who he was at first.. I just kept thinking the person was nuts for carrying it, because I've been paranoid about being struck by lightning here. As soon as he walked in the door, I realized the crazy person was my husband. He was soaking wet. He handed me the umbrella and went to get the car... Ok, he pulls up, I run out there with Lauren in the stroller, and in a matter of what seemed like seconds, I was completely soaked thru. The wind was too strong, and the rain was coming from every direction.. the umbrella was useless. I think I was in shock from all the water, because I was laughing my ass off. There I was buckling Lauren in as fast as possible, with the rain soaking my back, the umbrella David was holding up was making it worse, and I was dripping all over Lauren.

Yeah, um.. see back in Los Angeles, we hardly ever see that. Holy Cripes!
