I'm sure all of you have heard about Roy Horn being mauled by a tiger at the "Siegfried & Roy" show. When I first heard about it, I was like "Oh man! That's crazy!". But really folks, it's not that crazy. And if after doing that show for 30 years they've only had this happen once, those guys are damn lucky.

Tigers might be trained, but they are never tamed. These guys obviously care for the tigers they work with, but they have still chosen to use wild animals (exploit them, really) for money. My hope is that the tiger that "mauled" Roy will NOT be put down. I'm sick and tired of hearing about poor animals that are doing simply what instinct tells them, and they're punished for it. It's the human's fault every time.

As for the Mirage taking a huge loss by the indefinate cancellation of the show, well.. they're just gonna have to suck it up.
