I just randomly decided I'm gonna start calling my kids Jay and Silent Bob.

So it's finally December! Damn, this year has just flown by. A lot of shit's gone down, too... so I'm crossing my fingers things ease up a bit for 2005.

Matthew's a little nut. He's sitting in his highchair looking up at the ceiling, shaking his head back and forth as fast as he can manage. He's laughing maniacally (sp?) as the chair rocks beneath him. Poor guy's cutting his first molar- and he eats his fingers all day long to ease the pain. Maybe that's part of why he's been more cuddly- that or the cold, or maybe just his age. He's also been pulling my shirt down a lot. He didn't do that for a long while, as I'd pretty much stopped nursing him except for during the night. Maybe he's just doing what comes naturally for a guy- the urge to check things out. LOL. Nah.. he just wants my feedbags.

Lauren's her cute little self. She came up to my computer yesterday as I was saving this blinkie: . She said "That says 'Happy Holidays!!'" Why, yes it does! (Thinking to myself, "How the hell did she know that??"). She can read an entire book of 3-letter words (she has several beginner readers) all by herself. David and I bought her a "My First LeapPad" for Christmas, so I'm pretty sure she'll be diggin' that. She's gonna be all Princess'd out this year. LOL One of the books for her LeapPad is about Princess's Jasmine and (I think) Sleeping Beauty. She's also getting several "My First Princess" dolls to complete her collection- she already has Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, and I just got her Snow White, Belle, and Ariel. I'm watching an auction on Ebay for Jasmine (who is apparently hard to come by), and would be interested in finding Mulan (who is also hard to come by). Oh, and David's parents bought her a Disney Princess vanity that comes with several dress-up outfits. I can see it now- she will be begging us to let her play with that after she opens the box. (Though I hear you have to put the vanity together yourself, I see much crying in the works if she can't dress up in something right away).

Lauren's new favorite "thing". She insists on being the one to open Matthew's door in the morning. If I open it, she gets pissed. So now I let her out of her room, and she opens his door. She's finally tall enough for that. Holy Hell, we're all in trouble.
