Schools to Get 'SpongeBob' Tolerance Video. It's amazing what happens when some people decide that lovable cartoon characters must be gay. (Not that I love SpongeBob or anything). Maybe some good will come from this video.

Which reminds me.. yesterday, Lauren came down the stairs and told me I was "white". Where she got that from, I have no idea. I guess she doesn't have any other way to describe me in color.. then she told me my mouth was pink. Whew! For a second there, I thought I needed to drag out the family photo album to show her the dark side of the bunch... explain we're all shades of the same person or something. LOL If we were back in CA, she'd be exposed to darker skinned family fairly often (although our city probably has a higher mix of black and white than Los Angeles does.. at least from what I've seen). David's family is pretty much Wonder bread White, if you know what I mean. Oh my god.. it reminds me. Last night we were at Miejer (we were going to buy a Dora potty seat for the big potty- they were out). We walked down the isle where they keep night lights, and some man was standing there. He just so happened to be black- and I only say that because all of a sudden Lauren said something about an ape man. I was like ??? Thank God she said she saw it on Scooby Doo, or I would have been seriously embarrassed. The whole way down the next isle I was talking about how ape men aren't real, blah blah blah. I don't need people thinking we're racist or some crap, and calling black people ape men. (David, shut up. I know you're laughing at me).

So, anyway.. last night when I was giving the kids a bath, I asked Lauren if she was ready to start using the big potty. I told her that the store has a Dora potty seat, which fits right over the big potty seat, so she can use it w/out falling in. She got all excited, so after getting Matthew ready for bed, Lauren and I went to the store. Dammit! Of course when I'm ready to buy the f'ing thing, it's out of stock. Grrr.. it's the only place I've seen it, too. So we went over to the underwear section, and figured since she needed new ones anyway, we'd buy some Dora underwear. She's in this My Little Pony stage big time right now, so she of course wanted those. And because I'm a "good" mommy, she got a My Little Pony to go with it. Peri Winkle. :) LOL

Oh.. I'm listening to Def Leppard right now. Why is that a big deal? Well, it wasn't until I found out about this Double Header concert that I could really stand to listen to Def Leppard since my dad died. Music is a big part of my life.. (and it was huge in my dad's life). For some reason, I just hadn't been able to enjoy it as much since he passed away. Definately not Def Leppard. It sounds crazy, but anyway. I guess this concert announcement was my kick in the ass. LOL
