This story is ever-changing, and seemingly growing worse by the minute.

My heart goes out to everyone in the areas hit by Hurricane Katrina, and those who are now dealing with the aftermath - especially those who are homeless, dying, stranded.. it seems like no matter how a government thinks they're prepared for something of this magnitude, they're just not. Several cities have been wiped out, and the mayor of New Orleans has just stated that (in my summation) it's every man, woman, and child for themselves.


And I'm actually quite disgusted at the way Bush is handling this. I mean, what the hell? It's obvious to me he'd rather give a pep talk to the troops in Iraq (cuz it's all he knows) than deal with what's going on in his own back yard. Everything's been a day late and a dollar short, in my opinion. It's disgusting.
