I guess if a pit bull puppy doesn't have enough food in its dish, it goes for the toes..

Really disturbing. I can't blame the puppy, because frankly it's only 6 weeks old and it doesn't know any better anyway. As for the parents, I don't know that I can "blame" them per se. I've been in the situation of having my kids on the floor in a bouncy chair or car seat next to my bed, because I couldn't get them to sleep any other way (and certainly not w/out tossing up what I just breast-fed them). I don't have dogs, though. Cats, yes. And I know cats can't always be trusted. You either generally know your animal, or you don't know it at all. I don't think leaving a one month old on the floor when you have dogs around is a good idea. I also find myself wondering did this baby not cry out when its toes were being eaten off?? I know you can be dead tired as a new parent, but holy shit! That must be pretty damn tired!!
