Just as an aside.. does anybody reading this watch SpongeBob? I have seen many an episode, and in not one do I recall him sporting a package. However, my son just brought me a drawing of Mr. Bob, who seems to generously endowed.

Is this really typical? 3 1/2 yr olds drawing private parts?!

Matthew is turning 4 soon. On the 10th. He wants a SpongeBob party, and expressed interest in both SpongeBob and Mickey Mouse toys. I remember when my oldest nephew was into SpongeBob. In fact, for his 4th birthday party (just after Lauren was born), I think just about every single gift he got was SpongeBob related. He still likes the little guy, but (since he's 9) is getting into other stuff now.. thank goodness.

At least Matthew doesn't completely obsessed. He still has a soft spot for Mickey Mouse and Snoopy. Those have been his favorite the longest.

Then my darling daughter.. she still plays with My Little Ponies and Princess dolls (on occasion). But she is much more interested in playing with Barbies and Polly Pocket toys. She also really enjoys playing pretend with her assorted menagerie of stuffed animals. I tell ya.. I get really sick of playing pretend sometimes. :(
