According to breaking news on all major networks, California officially legalizes gay marriage.

Despite the way I was raised, I have come to think a bit differently about homosexuality, as an adult- as a free thinker. Here are some reasons why I think this is a positive decision:


*For every person who has been denied health/medical benefits through their partner, this is a good thing.

*For every person whose partner has become terminally ill or incapacitated, and has had no say as to life or death medical decisions, this is a good thing.

*For every mom or dad who has been denied parental rights because there was no legal union, this is a good thing.


Not everyone reading this will agree with my thoughts, but that's ok. :)
