I am a freckle face. I'm not like Bob Saget without his make-up or anything, but they're noticeable. Like somebody who has spent some time outdoors. Well, I had an eye appointment today, as I desperately need new glasses. Had my exam done, requesting the doctor to please look at an area of my eye (just outside the iris), that has a spot of some kind. Oddly enough, she tells me I have a "freckle" on my eye. Who has a freckle on their eye, for crying out loud!?! Apparently I do. Sigh.. She called it a "pigment deposition", but she said to think of it like a freckle. (She also told me that it's more common in people with an African American background.. odd way for my "8th%" to come out, don't you think?). Since it's a relatively new thing- as in, acquired w/in the last year or so- I need to have a follow-up in 6 months, to make sure it hasn't changed at all. Ugh. I also need to have my eyes dilated when I pick up my new glasses- two snazzy pairs I can't wait to get my hands on, by the way!! (I'm so sick of my current glasses- my lenses like to pop out. I am very particular about my glasses, dammit!!)

The weather was kinda bad today.. well, not what I would have liked to be out in. And while I was in the dr's office, there was a poor little kitten (maybe 8 months old?), "crying" outside the door. No collar, no nothing. Very friendly little thing, but cold and wanting attention. I HATE seeing things like that. I didn't check to see what gender the little "guy" was- a thin, orange tabby cat. I did give him a scratch, though. He started purring right away, and jumped down off the ledge by the window. I told him I couldn't take him home with me, but dammit I wanted to. I hope he has a home (though I'd like to yell at whoever owns him!), and that he was able to find it by now. It's taking a lot of effort not to hop in my car and go check. :(
