Money. People are losing theirs, left and right. It's a big concern, obviously. I sure hope Obama can fix what is so badly broken.. but I think it will take quite some time, and quite some doing. He says even our grandkids could be fixing the mess we're in. Perhaps an honest statement, but not a very pleasant thought.
I won't bore you with our money woes. However, we did switch cable companies- ever heard of WOW cable? We're on their cable/internet/phone deals, for just about $90 a month. This means we've cut down to basic cable (but with our faster internet speed, I can watch my favorite HBO and Showtime series online, that I'm now going to miss).
At least we have a generally healthy family, we're safe and warm, and D is still employed. So things could be much worse. I know many are losing their jobs left and right, and many are not taking their necessary medications because they just can't afford it. Just as tragic- just the other day I read about the 93 yr old man who was found frozen to death in his house. He owed the electric company just over $1,100, so they put some kind of limiting device on his meter. Whoever thought that was a good idea (for an elderly person)? Where the hell do they think he was going to get that kind of money- which he obviously couldn't afford? So they let the man freeze to death? That's just wrong.
