Ok.. talk about serious hormonal imbalance.

About 3:10 or so, I took Lauren with me to #207 to let the girl know a plumber was coming by to fix her sink. On my way back, I came in the door and walked to the couch. Just before I got there, I stepped in a big formula can (empty) that Lauren had been playing with earlier. I didn't see it, so imagine my surprise when I got my right foot stuck in it. The front of me lurched forward, and Lauren just about completely fell out of my arms. I struggled to hold on to her, as her my arms wrapped tightly around her rear-end (the upper half of her completely upside down, by this point). I tried to get my foot out of the can and found myself holding Lauren for dear life- nearly smacking her face into the tray of her swing, which was leaned up against a bookshelf. I twisted my leg, she started screaming, and I started laughing and crying at the same time. Finally I managed to right myself, and swing Lauren back up into my arms. She was crying, and I collapsed with her onto the couch to comfort her. David grabbed her because I became hysterical (and apparently I looked pretty scary). I felt like an idiot, was scared for Lauren, and just generally not sure how to react. I couldn't stop crying. The plumber called for me to let him in, so he saw me crying as I asked if he needed me to be there with him. I came back inside, and cried some more. Then we went to have our car looked at by some collision center. David said that I should be the one to buckle Lauren in, so she could see that I was ok. As soon as I saw her, I started bawling my eyes out. I tried to tell Lauren I was ok, but I couldn't speak.. and so she started crying.

Ugh.. I get emotional just thinking about it. I think we both suffered some whiplash, and strained backs. Not a pleasant adventure. But I got Lauren to calm down once we got to the Collision center. I played with her hair until she fell asleep. :) (Might take me a while before I'm ok. LOL)
