I swear.. this bank gets more and more bizarre. According to them, there's some federal regulation that makes all banks keep a certain amount of your money after you deposit it. Depending on how old your account is, you're released a certain amount of any deposit immediately.. the rest could take up to 2 weeks. HUH? If your account is 1-30 days old, and you deposit $1,000 for example, you're only allowed $100. If your account is 31 days - 6 months old, you're "allowed" $500. After 6 months, you're allowed to get the full deposit immediately. What the hell is that crap? I have NEVER heard of this. The lady claims I probably just never noticed this before. Um, no.. I honestly never noticed that in my 14 years of banking. And I've banked at 3 different (major, national) banks. Yeah, I do think it would be pretty obvious if I was denied access to my money whenever the hell I needed it. I certainly would have noticed only being allowed access to half of David's paychecks at any given time.

If it's a federal regulation, and something that could affect a customer enough to keep them from using their debit card somewhere, don't you think it would be nice to tell them this BEFORE they open an account?

If I didn't have about a $100 worth of checks out, I'd yank my money out of this fucking place today.
