Lauren was running around about 10 minutes ago, hockey puck in hand, saying " I love hockey!" Once she found something more interesting to play with (her Cinderella dolly), Matthew got a hold of the puck. Nothing quite like a thick, round piece of rubber to soothe the soul.
Matthew went in for his 1 yr appointment on Saturday- thank goodness his doctor moved into a new building just 5 minutes from us by freeway, cuz I hated to move away from the main practice and have him see someone else. My little man grew 3 inches in the last 3 months- he's now 30 3/4" tall, 20.01 lbs, and his head is a whopping 18". Doctor said he's in the 75th percentile for height, and in the 25th percentile for weight. Poor buddy got 3 shots this time- Varicella, Prevnar, and MMR.
Oh! Did I mention that my healthy little guy has a birthmark?! I know you're wondering why I'm so excited about that. Well, neither David or Lauren have birthmarks. I was hoping one of my kids would have one (nothing that would be humilating or anything- just something cute LOL). I discovered about a week ago that Matthew has one on his tummy, that looks like an almond. It's fairly light, but it's there.
Lauren's good. She's a little maniac. She's been tormenting the cats lately (chasing them until I find them cowering in various corners of the house, howling). She's been poking Matthew's eyes for some reason, and no amount of telling her not to is getting through to her. But her reading skills are developing quickly. She wants to know what everything says, and her memory is amazing. I can write down a whole page of words and she'll read them to me. I have to giggle when I see her sitting in her room with a book, "reading". Then she tells me she's reading all by herself. LOL
Me, I'm ok. Although my sinuses are killing me. I've been suffering through severe sinus headaches on a near daily basis. And the big toe on my right foot has been asleep 24-7 since Sept 3rd. As soon as I have the money to spare to make an appointment, I'm going to go figure out what the hell is going on. It's very unnerving.
