Last Saturday, we all went to Express so that I could find a new pair of jeans. I got 2 pairs from them before I got pregnant with Lauren, and I loved them. Well, one of the pairs I pretty much haven't been able to get back into. The other pair is like a second skin- "boyfriend" jeans, I think they're called. They've got a button fly, low waist, and best of all.. just damn comfy. But because I've worn them so much, the hem has actually ripped off the back of the left pant leg, and now there's a hole in the knee.
So we headed to the mall for jeans.
OMG. First off, what is up with that store?! The last time we were in there, they had the same song playing over and over. Some Christmas song, but the only lyrics I could hear were something like "I've got your love to keep me warm". That was annoying. Then come to find out that every single pair of women's pants in the store (jeans and dress pants) are low waist, and have a slight-to-mega flare at the bottom. What the hell happened to straight leg jeans? And what if I don't want a low waist pair of pants? (To be frank, they just don't work for me right now). The main reason for shopping here for pants was that (ok, A: we didn't have the cash, so I figured I'd use my store card) they had a decent selection last time. Guess I'll have to shop elsewhere..
But we ended over at Gap, where we picked up a thick winter jacket for Matthew. While we were there, (right after paying) I noticed his "ski" cap was missing. It's this cute little greyish-brown thing with a bulldozer on the front. We actually got it at the Gap last time we were there, but I'd forgotten that part. So as I'm wheeling Matthew around the kid's section, David sees the cap on top of the clearance rack- a "sales associate" found it and figured it fell down or something. So although it might have looked wierd, David grabbed it and I put it back on Matthew with a loud "You silly boy! Leave your hat on!" Glad nobody stopped us for questioning.
