OMG.. I thought this day would never come, but I have just made my first appointment to view a house.

Last week, David contacted the Veterans Association with regard to getting a home loan. They let us know w/in a matter of days what we were approved for, and David went through the stack of paperwork yesterday to get things rolling. I tell you, I cannot wait to get the hell out of this apartment! Anyway, so I've been searching the "Her Realtors" website, trying to find something that fits all of our requirements.

I made an appointment to see one house that is in Powell, OH. I love that place. Everytime we drive to the Columbus Zoo, I just go crazy! Most of the houses are really extravagant- certainly nothing we could afford- but I love the area. A lot of the houses back to a lake, each with their own private docks, etc.. Very woodsy. I just love that. Others are on huge hillsides, with lots of neat stonework surrounding the properties. It reminds me of many parts of California. Sigh..

This process makes me nervous, though. At least living in an apartment, somebody else is liable for fixing things that break. Argh. I suppose all of that is part and parcel to being a responsible adult. And now that David and I are officially in our 30's, we don't have too many excuses not to be. LOL

Matthew turned 2 yesterday. My little monkey! I'm still waiting for the day he says "mommy". Is it just too much to ask for?! :(
