Family. What to say about it. Well, my kids are growing like weeds.
I think Matthew is just about ready to be potty trained. As soon as he goes in his diaper, he takes it off. Yesterday, he took it off, sprayed all over Lauren's Barbie Tea set. LOL
He's interested in the toilet, but I am not sure how it's going to work, catching him in time before he goes... to get him to try it in a potty. I think I need to do some reading up on it. David isn't home much (duh- he's at work most of the day), so that leave it pretty much to me. Any tips? And I don't see the little guy holding himself to pee, either.. I guess we'll just see what happens.
He is doing a lot better with his speech, etc. He is pointing to things and naming them, he counts to 10, can sing the alphabet song, pretty much speaks the entire movie he's watching.. and he has shown me words and told me what they said. Which is amazing. I don't know if he just recognizes that the letters together = what it actually says like if he knows that the letters a-p-p-l-e = an apple? Or if he just can read it. Either way, it's an amazing change from November, when he wasn't saying much at all. He's a total sponge right now.
We're not taking him to those classes anymore (it wasn't working out), but we will be having a teacher and possibly a speach therapist come to the house once a month. And he will be evaluated at age 2 1/2 to see if he is still eligible for developmentally delayed preschool.
Not much else going on that I care to talk about.. LOL Life around here is topsy-turvy at best.
