How sad.. one of the tenants from the building across the street called me. His manager is the lady who rented several of my vacant apartments when I was on maternity leave. Apparently, for the last 6-8 months or so, she's been (according to him) neglecting to answer any tenant's maintenance requests. She is an older lady (in her 70's, probably), and her husband died about 6 months ago. Wonder if that's got anything to do with it? And she's got a daughter basically running another of her buildings across the street. This lady is actually threatening tenants. According to this guy, she told someone she'd make their life a living hell. Wow.. that's jacked up. The guy called me to find out the owner's phone number. I told him the same thing the lady across the street did- I can't give it to him. If he has a complaint, he's got to take it up with the manager. Although apparently letters and phone calls to her do nothing. So he and a bunch of other tenants are formally complaining to the city.
