Someone had asked me if I had a baby shower with Lauren.. for those who don't remember, what I had wasn't really what I'd call a shower. LOL It was an Easter Sunday brunch, and I had to make food.. only a few people were in the room when I opened my gifts- everyone else was outside or watching tv in another room. Isn't that special? :)

So.. news on D's work situation (which you might have read about in the journal). He told me when he got home from work today that his boss approved the transfer, and so did the two company vice presidents. Now it's up to the president/owner. D said that he doesn't see that the president will have a problem with it, since he seems to like D. Sounds hopeful, but I'm definately not going to do any happy dances til I know for sure that it's going to happen. Please keep your fingers crossed. If he can transfer, this will make things so much easier for us. We don't have to worry about a lapse in income, there should be no problem getting an apartment (most places want you in a job when you move in), and most importantly, we can keep the insurance benefits. That means we won't eat up all of our savings paying for that damn COBRA crap.

Thanks for a fellow blogger for suggesting nice areas to live. :) I found out today that D's got an aunt and uncle just north of Columbus, so his mom's going to ask them to help us out as well. LOL I busted my butt yesterday finding a place, so I'm just waiting to get an application mailed to me. Again, I'm not getting my hopes up about anything.. but I do hope things work out.
