This whole CA fire thing has me in a tizzy, so to speak. Having grown in up Los Angeles, I know exactly what fire season is like. While the site of a fire is awesome- the flames, the heat, etc..- it's also a scary thing. And there are hills and mountains all over Los Angeles, too- LA in itself is a basin, surrounded by them. If any of you have ever driven the 210 fwy from Pasadena, all the way to the 5 into Santa Clarita, you know what I'm talking about. I can't count how many times those hills have been charred. It's a sad site.

You just pray each year that if you live in the mountain or hill communities, fire season will be kind to you- or at least to the people you love who live in said communities. I have several relatives who live in these areas. (I'm always worried most about my grandma, but so far she's ok.. She lives near the Angeles National Forest).

Damn Santa Anas.. You know what I just realized is that the next rain season is going to be a bad one. Floods galore. GRRR.
