Funny.. there was this girl I was pretty close to the last few years of high school. We kept in touch fairly well until she moved back east, after finding this great job in college. I sent her a wedding invite (back in '98), she came out for the wedding.. it was nice to see her and her family there on my special day. We haven't spoken that much over the years, but her jobs (mostly for the clothing/fashion industry) have kept her fairly busy, and a seasoned traveler.

Several months back (well before Christmas, actually), she wrote to tell me she was engaged. I responded, asking about the new man in her life, etc.. not a word from her until today, when she writes an e-mail to everyone letting them know of her new e-mail addy (which is her first initial and new last name). Apparenly she got married. Hmm.. Although it would have been quite unlikely that I would have been able to attend the wedding, I was hoping for at least an invitation. Guess not.
