Supposedly D's boss is going to let him know by the end of the day if he can transfer to Columbus or not. Sigh.. He was supposedly going to tell him last Friday. We had plans to kick-start the serious planning phase of the move during D's two weeks of vacation. Well, the first week is just about over, and things are still up in the air. Even if he can't transfer, we're still planning to move- but to Toledo. And I've got several apartment buildings there we're seroiusly interested in (one that just called to tell me that no matter if we move in during May or June, we don't pay any rent until July.. only the $25 application fee). The great place we saw in Columbus more or less fell thru- I think we were jinxed. Anyway.. and I don't want to give notice until I find out what the hell is happening. It's quite aggravating!

Lauren's birthday is on Monday, but we're going to celebrate it on Sunday. Our plans are to take her to the LA Zoo. After that, we'll come home and have cake or cupcakes or something, and let her open gifts. Just a private family affair. Last time we went to the zoo, Lauren was just barely conceived. So this will kind of be a neat way to celebrate her life, I think.
